Directed by John Glen, The Living Daylights introduces Timothy Dalton as James Bond in a more serious 007 mission involving a staged Soviet defection, arms dealing, Afghanistan and Cold War deception. Maryam dAbo stars as Kara Milovy, with Jeroen Krabbé and Joe Don Baker in a Bond film shaped by espionage, double-crosses, military conflict and late-1980s spy intrigue. The film marks the beginning of Daltons shorter, harder-edged James Bond era.

Från IMDB:
James Bond is sent to investigate a KGB policy to kill all enemy spies, and uncovers an arms deal that potentially has major global ramifications.
