Directed by Brian De Palma, Mission: Impossible stars Tom Cruise as IMF agent Ethan Hunt alongside Jon Voight, Emmanuelle Béart, Jean Reno and Vanessa Redgrave. After an operation in Prague ends with most of his team dead, Hunt is accused of betraying the agency and must uncover the real mole while operating outside the IMF. Based on Bruce Gellers television series, the first Mission: Impossible film combines espionage, conspiracy and large-scale action with the CIA infiltration sequence and a climactic pursuit aboard the Channel Tunnel train.
