Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman star in this romantic comedy directed by Griffin Dunne. Sisters Sally and Gillian Owens (Bullock and Kidman) are both afflicted by an old family curse which means the men they love die before their time. When Gillian is threatened by her abusive former lover Jimmy (Goran Visnjic), Sally is drawn to the man investigating him, Gary Hallet (Aidan Quinn). To save Gillian and Gary, Sally must finally embrace her magical heritage, but can she overcome her fear of doing so before it's too late?
