Directed by Richard Linklater, School of Rock stars Jack Black as Dewey Finn, a struggling guitarist who poses as a substitute teacher and turns his class into a rock band. Joan Cusack, Mike White and Miranda Cosgrove co-star in this family comedy built around music, school life and the students preparation for a Battle of the Bands competition. Jack Black received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance.
