Complete collection of the BBC adaptations of the books by C.S. Lewis which combine live action with animation to create the world of Narnia. In 'The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe' (1988) siblings Peter (Richard Dempsey), Susan (Sophie Cook), Edmund (Jonathan R. Scott) and Lucy Pevensie (Sophie Wilcox) travel through a wardrobe to the magical land of Narnia and embark on an extraordinary adventure. Together they must find a way to defeat the White Witch (Barbara Kellerman) who has trapped Narnia in eternal winter. 'Prince Caspian and the Voyage of the Dawntreader' (1989) sees the Pevensie children return to Narnia to help Prince Caspian (Jean Marc Perret) regain his throne from his treacherous uncle, King Miraz (Robert Lang). Later, Eustace Scrubb (David Thwaites) joins his cousins Edmund and Lucy aboard Prince Caspian's ship, the Dawn Treader, on a voyage to the edge of the world. Finally, in 'The Silver Chair' (1990), Eustace and his friend Jill (Camilla Power) are transported to Narnia where they are sent on a quest to find Prince Rilian (Richard Henders), King Caspian's heir, who disappeared mysteriously years before.
