Each player starts with 14 tiles on their own tile rack. The goal is then to place the tiles on the table in clever combinations, create runs, collect the same numbers, and utilize the opportunities that arise during the game. The player who is first to get rid of their tiles wins the round.

In Rummikub, it's about thinking ahead and seeing the possibilities in both your own tiles and the tiles already on the table. You can build on other players' runs, move combinations around, and create new opportunities if you have the overview.

How to place the tiles

To get rid of your tiles, you must place them on the table in groups of at least 3 tiles. You can either create a number run of the same color, for example, red 7, red 8, and red 9 - or create a group with the same number in different colors, for example, red 8, black 8, and blue 8.

Once tiles are on the table, you can also add your own tiles to existing runs and groups. This provides many opportunities to think creatively, turn the game to your advantage, and surprise the other players.

Jokers make the game even more fun

The game also includes jokers, which can be used as any number. A joker can therefore be crucial if you are missing the last tile to create a strong run or group. But use it wisely - a well-placed joker can be the difference between victory and defeat.
